It Snowed in Hawaii Last Night

It snowed in Hawaii last night.

Up at 14,000 feet, at the summit of Mauna Kea on The Big Island of Hawaii.

I've heard that Hawaii has something like 14 different microclimates. (I humbly submit to corrections on the number). Our state's mountainous topography is largely responsible for our having the wettest spot in the world, arid and semi-arid deserts, tropical and subtropical climes and, as clearly shown above, frozen alpine ecosystems.

Here on Maui, our own Mount Haleakala peaks at 10,023 feet. It gets pretty darn cold up there at the summit. Of course, that's still 10,000 feet higher than this incredible home that sits just 40 steps from the ocean's edge.

Just imagine - you can sit on one of your own three lanai spaces and drink in that legendary sandy, palm treed, sunset-over-the-ocean setting on a daily basis. When you need a little cold inspiration, simply walk through your 2,030 square foot home and glance up toward Haleakala.

Hawaii truly has it all.

Let's refine that statement a bit - this Sugar Cove home on Hawaiian island of Maui has it all.

With 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, an exclusive watersport culture in this intimate gated community where everyone enjoys launching their own kiteboarding, stand-up paddling, and windsurfing from their own homes - this may be exactly what you've been waiting for. Featured at $2.0 million, down from $2.8 million.
